UL students besieged main campus on Tuesday over digital registration process

Monrovia, Liberia April 24,2019- It seems that the digital registration process at the state University of Liberia is facing many challenges in getting students placed in the system. On Tuesday, a Concern Students base group led by some executive of STUDA besieged the Main Campus in protest.

Speaking to reporters, Student Abraham Swaray said majority of them have paid 1, 600 Ld and above for their registration fees and they have not obtained their registration form or grade sheets due to the situation.

He further narrated that they are facing serious problem to go through the new digital system (Mwentana system) setup at BFO by the government recently.

He noted that they are finding difficult to log into the school digital system to see their grade sheets and they have been denied for seeking their information which could allow them access to go through their registration process.
Meanwhile student Swaray has also Added that the registration report, claimed that majority of them owed the administration 1,500 LD fees and the said money in question was paid by them and administration denied their statement.

The head of UL Public Relation Norris Tweh had stressed out that, the Administration registration process is not for sell pay business and they setup a system that could track down students activities fast because observed some of them allegedly creating dubious act and undermining the system.

He has also Mentioned that Mwentana (digital operating system) and the administration along with the bank has put in system to rectified some mistake but it has not reach to the conclusion which have problem verification process and
He said when completed, than they may forward the information before the students could be clear.


Mr. Tweh has given authority to the protesting students or students with similar problem to to start classes until the administration solve the problem.
