Senator Doe-Sheriff to be buried Saturday

Senator Doe-Sheriff to be buried this Saturday, March 16, 2019, accordingto to a release from the by the Director of Press at the Liberian Senate,
Jarlawah A. Tonpo on Monday March 11, 2019.

The official protocol released said that the signing of the Book of condolence will take place this Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at 10 AM to 4PM in the Rotunda of the Capitol Building at the National Legislature.

The process continues on Thursday March 14, 2019 same time and venue.

The remains of the late Geraldine Doe-Sheriff will be removed from the Samuel A. Stryker Funeral Home and taken to the Legislature on capitol hills for State Protocols.

Wake keeping and other activities will be held Friday, March 15 from 6pm to
12 midnight at the Paynesville Town Hall.

On Saturday, March 16, 2019, according to the Senate Press Bureau, the body of Madam Geraldine Doe-Sheriff will be removed from the Funeral Home and taken to the Sacred Heart Cathedral on Broad Street for a wake keeping and funeral service and thereafter, interment will take place at the Kizer Memorial Burial Site, followed by a repast at the St. Paul River View Resort.

The late senator Doe-Sheriff was once a chairlady of the Congress for Democratic Change party but according to her, she left the party because she said in one of her interviews that ideology of CDC is different from hers and as such she was leaving the party. She later joined the unity party and supported the failed presidential bid of Former vice president Joseph Boakai.

Senator Doe-Sheriff died on February 9, at the Kele-bu teaching hospital after battling cancer over a year.
