Is Cllr. Charles Walker Brumskine the new political leader of the Liberty party?

Monrovia, Liberia- Yesterday, four political parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding agreeing to intensify efforts leading to put the CDC led government feet to the fire.

Political leaders signing for their respective party

Against this backdrop, the four Opposition political parties have merged to form a coalition.

But according to what we have gathered from the joint coalition document in our possession, states those that were supposed to sign the collaboration document, could have been the former political leaders, and present political leaders.

On yesterday, it seems different because it was only pass political leaders signing for their respective party. If the document is something to go with, then we are wondering whether Charles Walker Brumskine is the new political leader of liberty party. Mr. Brumskine was the only leader from the Liberty party that signed for the party.

In the document, it says former leaders and political leaders so did Brumskine sign for both leaders? Was it an arrangement for Nyonblee Karnga Lawrence to not sign as leader? The many questions remain unanswered.

The other three parties that signed the document have not announced any other person as their political leaders as it was done with the liberty party. Former vice president Joseph Nyumah Boakai of the former ruling Unity Party, Hon. Benoni Urey, of the All Liberia Party and Hon.. Alexander B. Cummings of the Alternative National Congress all signed the document and pledged their support to a rare marriage of political conveniences.

Over the years in Liberia, it has been very difficult for a single party to win elections without elections malpractices and it has also been always difficult for a merger to hold in a long way to election.
