National Legislature both committees on Agriculture, Fisheries, Forestry and Natural Resources have cleared Director General of National Fisheries and Aquaculture Authority, Madam Emma Metieh Glassco and her able lieutenants of wrong doing in the Liberia-Senegal Fisheries partnership agreement recently signed.


As we said, the Liberia-Senegal Fisheries Partnership Agreement recently signed will seek to create huge opportunities for local fishermen and Liberia at large. The agreement seek to create job opportunities, infrastructures development including processing and Ice plants, processing and onward exportation of fish on the international market that will help to increase our foreign exchange.


According to the Senate and the House of Representatives committees, Madam Glassco acted in the confine of the laws and in the general interest of Liberia. The committees recommdations to plenary suggested that Madam Glassco and her team should seek more investments that will create more benefits including empowerment, infrastructures development and capacity building for local fishermen.
