Monrovia, Liberia – The Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation has said that a thirty-six inch pipe which was damaged and caused Water outage has been restored.
The water outage in Monrovia and its environs has left many people with no option but to either drink well Water or pay a high amount for a bottle or plastic bag of water.

In a special post posted on its official Facebook, the LWSC said “We said seven (7) days,yes seven (7) days and seven (7) days have been fair to us. Thanks to all LWSC administrators and technicians as well as our engineers. Thirty_ six inch (36″) transmission pipe restores finally.Cuttoff communities including Johnsonville, Paynesville, Congo Town, Sinkor and Central Monrovia to recieve uninterrupted water supply again.Thanks for your patience Liberians .#Propoor”


It can be recalled over the years, water supply in Monrovia and it surrounding areas has always been scarce during the dry season. In 2017, a plastic bag of water was sold in some part of Monrovia for $10LD.
