Who transferred CAF USD$200,000 intended for Liberian football to a Polish bank?

After investigating some pass officials of Liberia Football Association (LFA), Police in Monrovia have invited LFA present President Mustapha Raji for investigation.

Mr. Raji will this Wednesday February 6, at 10:00 and he is expected to explain his account on the discovery of the mysterious transfer of US$200,000 from the accounts of the Confederation of Africa Football (Caf) to the accounts of Rosenbaum Contemporary Group in Poland.

The money, which was originally meant for football development programs in Liberia, was transferred in two phases of US$100,000 on August 28, 2017 and June 2018 respectively.

Accordingto a release from the Liberian FA, Raji will be accompanied by LFA secretary-general Isaac Montgomery, who has also been aiding the investigation.

Former LFA secretary-general Emmanuel Deah and Caf finance department have been undergoing police investigation in Monrovia and Cairo based on a request from Caf compliance committee following an LFA complaint.

The Liberia National Police was also officially notified on 2 January.

Raji officially complained to Caf President Ahmad Ahmad about the mysterious transfer during the extraordinary congress to elect former Ghana Football Association President Kwesi Nyantakyi’s successor in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt on 30 September 2018.

He was accompanied by Deputy Sports Minister Andy Quamie, who is a Fifa and Caf match commissioner and inspector.
